So glad to see them back, and in breeding plumage!

A very interesting series of this one, with poses I've never seen before. It ended up bringing the hind leg all the way back behind, which also was a neat one. This one was different though with the leg tucked behind the wing.

    More to come...

LR and PS, DN. Blended a couple bright spots on upper bkg.

Sweet light, low angle, neat pose...what's not to like? BG looks great so your touch-up there was seemingly worth it. A shorebird I hope to see someday...

One of my favorite birds Brian so eloquent and you have brought that forth here. Just a beauty love the leg pose along with the details especially the blacks on the wings with detail along with the little bit of water high lighted. I keep looking at this and nothing to critique here. TFS

Brian I love it. The color of the BG and the reflection of the BG in the water is amazing with the color of the Avocet, and as Daniel pointed out, the lighting is super sweet.

Sweet. Everything about this is superb. Looking forward to some more from the series, just to make me even more jealous.

Very nice. Love the low angle. They are here in Utah, just have get down into Salt lake... Looking forward to photographing this species soon.

Killer image; the surroundings and bird complement each other perfectly. Stretch adds interest, and exposure and detail spot on. Thousands of them here but we are not allowed low-angled access to the diked ponds they frequent. It's impossible to get low on them in SF Bay.

Hi Brian ... greeeeeaaaaaat stuff .
You are making me envious .
Beautiful color and tones , crazy good details , sharp as good as it can be . Lovely pose and sweet light .

You are really mastering the " Topaz plugin " my friend ...... As mentioned previously I might add a tiny bit of grain / or recover detail inside the plugin .... just my pref .

    TFS Andreas

Killer. I though that Andreas was finally going to make a comment without a single nit., but ... Go figure. Is that some fog in the BKGR?

Her. The females have the up curved bills. As always, the ladies have the nice curves.

Artie, no fog just a distant shoreline.

    Mike, appreciate it my friend!
