Love the light, BG, perch and fantastic pose. That tearing apart of the seed head (and your PP of feathers and strands) takes this over the top for me. Minor nit on a sweet, sweet frame, wish to have pointed just a little more to the left with better balance against the leaves. TFS

    Hi Jon,
natural and elegant. like in the garden. It would better for me if the background is pure green.
the left leaves are beautiful. but it draws attention with its sharpness. like a bird rivalcongratulations, very nice.

Excellent behaviour image Jon, I love it! I do see what David means about the comp, and I agree, but all else is top notch.

Jon, this is one of those images that just has a really pleasing mood to it. Maybe hard to define, but the detailed softness and the rich colors make it hard to resist.

Talons are sharp, we get a good look at the eye with its beak buried, adding a bit of fun.

Interestingly, I do have a comp suggestion but it's unique from the others. Perhaps take a look at moving the subject and perch up a little. Otherwise, I totally dig it!

No major nits from me Jonathan. I'm fine with the sharpness of the leaves on the left side. I can see Brian's suggestion working here also. Love the softness of the feathers/strands. If I had to offer something, it would be to reduce the brights on the two leaves on the left side...it does draw my eye.

Hi Jon ... a very nice frame , unusual pose . And this does it make very special to me .
Does have a bit of a comical appearance which I very much like !!

Color and Tones are looking good , maybe a touch on the " pushed " side in terms of saturation .... but works for me .
Nice details and your sharpening is going into a " better " direction .... just as a personal note to YOU and fully subjective from my side . Hope you get my point

Nicely done overall , TFS Andreas
