Hi all. This was taken at the same location as the Finch I posted before. Less processing needed on this one. Cheers.

He looks like a king sized wren, the eye is well shown and grabs my attention as does the open bill. I feel perhaps he could be a little smaller in the frame, perhaps this size because you had reservations over the background?

Hi Jonathan. Thank you for the feedback as always, but I do disagree that it's big in the frame. I'm also fine with the background. Cheers.

Hi Paul ... neat little subject .
Pose and the calling behavior are looking great .
I am fine with the comp/ crop but can also see where Jon is coming from , with his thoughts .

Colors are looking quite ok , contrast ... I learned you like it . Same on the sharpening front ... not my style . Specially the feathers under the eye ... looking not nice to me . But maybe they are natural ... I do not the bird .

    Thank you David...appreciate the feedback.
Andreas: I guess we have different views on contrast/sharpening...although I don't like over sharpening/contrast. I'm happy with this level. Cheers.

Paul, despite what appears to be a pretty steep light angle you capture the subject nicely.

The call pose really makes the frame for me. Bkg has enough bokeh to work I think.

My main gripe would be that the talons are not in focus. It seems as though in a frame like this it's especially important where the perch is so prominent and where the talons are so large, respectively.

Looks like an angry bird with that mean eye. I'm sure there is a bit more detail to be found on the brightest whites on the breast, as well as in the lichens. The raised tail certainly adds some interest.

Cool looking wren. Man, the feet look pretty big for a little bird. I like the pose.
