These guys don't usually come so close, but I sure am glad this one did! A bit of a surprise, and I was setup for action, but the wide-open aperture still turned out good despite the body falling out of dof range with the whole face sharp.

Man oh man... That is close with an awesome detail view. DOF perfect for me and that face is as good as it gets. And of course FF with a sweet BG. TFS

What a thrill to have one of these beauties practically in your face. Beautifully captured; no nits.

Great one Daniel. Beautiful subject , well exposed, great shooting angle; certainly worth getting cold and wet for!

    Cheers

I keep coming back to look at this shot, just lovely. But I really do get the impression that the eye is a bit soft.
Dragged it into PS and tried a bit more sharpening and it did make a difference. A bit presumptuous of me the master of un-sharp posts

Gorgeous Daniel. It has such a nice texture to it. Wonderful color and about as nice of a head shot composition as I've seen in a while.

    Very well done!

What a beauty. Love that bow wake. That yellow and green go great together. The low angle is right on. Nice water drops on the head.
