    nice find Ian, not a common dove. the image has a number of issues, it's too big in the frame, a bit dark and also looks over-sharpened and crunchy to my eye. the black feathers have no details.... Where he was perched didn't help wither

    Hi Ian....This would look so much better if there was more room around the bird....I think you may have cropped too tight....Less of a crop would also show more detail on the bird....If you have the canvas this is well worth revisiting ...As far as techs go....a slower SS and f/8 would work better

    Neat looking dove. That blue eye ring is pretty cool.
