    Jon this is looking dramatic.....Because of the head being sharp, the viewers eye goes directly towards it....Would f/6.3 have made a difference... I was doing the same as you, a couple of days ago at my set up......and managed 1/4000 on a few shots at f/6.3 with an ISO of 2500....It did make a difference with the high SS, and the noise was minimal. Not an easy shot to capture....You done well here.

    I like this, the wings are really nice giving a sense of movement and the face is sharp enough..

    Yes Jonathan...I'd be happy with this one. Sharp where it needs to be and a great sense of movement in the wings. Very well done!
