    I got this goldfinch in my backyard this evening at a feeder set-up.

    Beautiful bird, good exposure and sharpness. I like the composition as well.

    Beautiful job, Don! The bird has a good head angle and you caught some light in his eye. He's in focus and the lighting is wonderful, as is the BG (background.) My one suggestion would be to make this a vertical crop instead of a horizontal. Nicely done, though!

    Thanks for posting this image, Don. I tried to photograph the goldfinches at my feeder, and didn't have much luck. But, now that I've seen your specs, I hope to be able to do better - I may not have enough lens with my 100-400 with the 1.4TC. though. Is this all natural light? Awesome BG!

    Good composition and image. The bird placement in frame is good and you have great eye contact. The yellows are fine and you show good details in the feathers. Love that perch and the dark green background; which brings out your subject very nicely...:cool:
