    Dottie and I were at Lake Morton in Lakeland, Florida, early this morning. Finally I found a male Wood Duck in the perfect position for a portrait. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for vieiwng.

    Nikon D500
    Nikon 500mm F/5.6 VR AF-S ED PF HH
    1/1000 F/5.6 Highlight Weighted Metering EV 0 ISO 125 Auto 1 WB, image captured at 500mm (750mm 35mm Equivalent)
    Post processed in Lightroom Classic, Photoshop CC 2021 and Neat Image for noise reduction when needed
    Cropped for composition and presentation

    Perfect is a good word for this one. The colors are perfect; love the purple cheek patch. Head angle, alert posture, and subject orientation? Perfect. Framing? Perfect! I love how you just got that one huge tertial feather into the frame. Perhaps your best ever.

    The exposure here is about as good as it gets, sharpness is superb, love that little tuft of feathers on the back
