One Bohemian Waxwing proudly showing off the berry it is about to gulp down whole, and another in the BG just simply chillin' around in the crabapple.
Canon 7DII + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC III, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/3200s., f/5.6, ISO 1600, natural light, handheld, small crop to help the comp, a few protruding twigs and fruits removed from the bottom and right edges to clean up the contour.
Love the peachy colours here.......The pose on the main subject is good..nice timing for the berry....It's a matter of taste, I like the OOF bird but I think the image would be stronger without...Nice that we can see the 'wax' on the wing...Looking further, the bird in the BG does have a nice pose and head position...Very nice overall Dan.
Love everything about this canvas. The OOF bird and vegetation just the right amount of softness. The timing on the berry takes it over the top for me. TFS
Your BWW's really impress upon me Daniel. I have your frames of them burned into my memory.
I do love the simplicity of the prior two you shared, as this one has a bit busier canvas, but will say the subject in the distance adds a little creative flavor.
Gorgeous light and, as usual, beautiful saturation of color. Food in mouth brings it up a touch.
Fabulous pose on the in-focus bird. I'm not often a fan of OOF birds in the background, this this one works nicely. The entire frame has a wonderful watercolor-like feeling to it.
Birds as art for sure. I love everything about this superb frame.
