This Rainbow Bee-eater knew what it wanted for lunch Would have liked a better HA and less steep angle.

Very nice frame Paul! I like the sharpness, the complimentary BG, the perch and the mouthful of food. Nice work!

Nice image. I like the perch, just wishing for a more interesting backdrop and a little more head turn.

Self critique spot on. I like the varied sky as BG and just love the SH, details and of course prey. TFS

I like it, the pose and the prey look really interesting. I selected the sky and simply applied a layer adjustment curve set to medium, I think it makes a subtle but pleasing contrast to the bird and the plumage detail appears slightly enhanced as a result.

Beautiful subject, and I love the bee perfectly lined-p within the bill. My only suggestion (besides agreeing with your self-critique) would be for a vertical presentation as I feel it is tight top and bottom. Good stuff though - I always enjoy a nice bee-eater image!

Yeah, the overhead angle isn't ideal but this is still a nice result, Paul. Perch is kinda cool, and the bee adds interest. Do you have more room below tail? I like the idea of a vertical crop, but I'm not a huge fan of Daniel's will hella empty space above. Could be combatted by adding canvas below if you don't have it.

Daniel: Thank you for the feedback. Agree that there could be more space at the bottom, but the top? seems plenty there?
Dorian: Thank you. On this one I don't have room below...not difficult though to add some, as you say. "will hella"...?
