After +5 years of pretty heavy use I had to send my 500f4 in to Nikon for repairs... not locking securely to the camera/TC. I had to dust off my 400f3.5 manual focus lens and 2X TC.
Birds in flight are pretty much an exercise in futility so slow moving subjects were in order. Fortunately ducks are starting to migrate through my area. It had been a while and I had
forgotten that this combo could be pretty good in adequate light. The bird never moved to a spot with less debris in the water.

I like the low angle but wish water was cleaner, doesn't look as sharp as your other files, is it a manual focus lens ? maybe more sharpening will help. Hope your lens gets repaired soon

Great bird with a nice pose.
    Good POV.
Too bad about the cluttered water but you could really improve the cluttered feeling by cloning out the biggest black spots.

Nice low angle and reflection, but the dark blobs really hurt the image. Bummer as the exposure and details look good.
