This tiny bird's body is the size of a golf ball! They rarely perch in the open, and they move hella fast to regain the understory on the rare occasions they
emerge from it. I see this species every day in my apartment complex, but this represents my first frame of this supremely-challenging son-of-a-*****!
The best part? 100% natural - no bait or audio. I saw a family group of ~20 moving through a hedgerow and positioned myself at the end of it on the
long-shot chance they'd pause before flitting across the break. My plane worked to perfection.
I don't care the tail is obscured as this is a perfect representation of how they appear in the field.

Sweet story on this flighty nemesis and your planning for this creation. Nemesis no more, I'd say... The perch, the light, the framing, the BG and of coarse the details on this diminutive beauty. All sweet perfection IMHO. TFS
Very nice Dorian. Tail doesn't bother me, as I too know these little rascals. The clear head and breast over take any notion about the tail. Great BG. TFS
Nice frame , neat perch and a sweet subject . Superbly separated from the creamy BG .
Overall well processed ... personally I think the sharpening is a tiny bit too strong for my taste and I would burn the perch to make the little ball stand out even more .
You recognized the situation and went for it, nicely done! For me it would be worth adding 10-15 % more canvas left and top - personal preference really. All else top-notch and tastefully presented. Super cool!
