This is one of my bird images Ifrom my portfolio submitted for the IFC Pro Tour Contest inn April. Here I had my camera mounted just below the entrance to a barn owl nest in an elevated hunting blind.

    Hi Robert,

What an outstanding image!! Congratulations!! You may want to use a small soft box to diffuse the flash light making it more natural.

Wow, this is a great image! I agree with Maxis about the soft box, but I can imagine that this could mean disturbance for the bird.

Love it, the pose and detail are excellent, althought I would've try to work with one flash front the almost front and the other from the back, just a thought. Congrats!

Wow! I really like this image. The owl is sharp. That poor bunny's bottom is sharp. The lighting is great IMO.
You did well here. It is a clear winner to me.

Awesome. I love your images from this Pro Tour portfolio. The owl nicely stands out from the background. It seems, the f16 apperture has done its job. The catch light in the eyes gives a nice feel as well. Outstanding job. Hungry for more. Please keep on posting.
