I went to the Cape mid May. It was cold, gray and very windy the whole time. There is a stretch of cottages all in a row and all looking the same. Called, you guessed it, Days cottages. since the light was just gray, and I wanted to photograph them, I tried this...find edges, fool around with opacity and saturation.

    thanks for looking.

Carole, I really like everything about this except for the sky - I'm wondering if you could do a quick mask on it and blend it out just a bit? The rest of the image REALLY works for me - you might want to think about clipping that right hand side a bit so it ends right before that larger roof line begins.

Very cool treatment idea! Keep it up!

Excellent observations by Julie, and great work in the graphic quality of the work :)

Very appealing, Carole! You took a gray, unpleasant day and made something artistic of it! :) I have a similar image of some apartments with which I did a similar treatment and I still like it to this day. I think Julie made some very good observations/suggestions.
