    Hi folks ...
another old image from 2011 , taken in Etosha NP of Namibia .

As most of the times at that place , shooting from the car resulting in a less ideal shooting angle . Not much to do ...

    Canon EOS 1D MK IV
    EF 500 IS L + 1,4 TC
    Window bracket and gimbal

    F 8 ; Iso 800 ; 1/2500 sec

Processed with DPP 4 and PSCC 2021 ; some branches removed ; cropped and added some canvas on bottom and LHS for composition

Thanks for looking and commenting to my previous posting

    Cheers Andreas

There's not much wrong with that Andreas! Ok angle but that aside details colours and tones look spot on. I especially like the iris of the right eye.

Thanks Jon ... the iris is tricky , to find the balance of brightness and saturation ....
This one was shot very well ETTR .... parts of the whites were blown , needed to double process .

Beautiful bird on interesting perch looking right at you... What's not to like. You handled up angle and light/angle as well as you could. Always love your feather PP... TFS

Hi Andreas, beautiful bird. I hear you regarding shooting what is offered maybe never having the opportunity again. Menacing thorns on the perch, good feather detail, exposure, and colors. Thank you for sharing.

Lovely perch for this stately kite, love the red iris and the subtle grades of whites/grays.
