I captured this Black Headed Gull(winter plumage) last week at a local loch....I was hoping for a 'different' landing, but I have to give him/her 9/10...almost perfect landing on the ice. HH. About 50% crop...ACR and PS2021

    Will:

Beautiful exposure on the whites, like the full up pose, angle in frame, soft lighting, smooth ice.

I would consider just a sliver more room at the top, perhaps 5% or so.

    Well done.

    Cheers

Love the pose and the whites look great! The ice adds more interest to this and I don't think the bird feels tight in the frame, but yes a sliver more on top would take it up a notch more.

Hi Will ... nice work and the gull gave you a nice posing .
Nice tonal range and colors , good to see something different in terms of " perch " .

AS you have plenty of room around in the original I would tend to like a bit more space all around .

    TFS Andreas
