    Each year we get a group of snow buntings visiting the Wirral shoreline.
    Hand held
    Olympus : E-M1X
    Lens focal length : 300 mm & MC14
    Focal length in 35 mm film : 841.0mm
    Exposure mode : Manual exposure
    ISO Sensitivity : 800
    Exposure compensation : +0.3 EV
    Shutter : 1/3200 sec
    Aperture : F5.6

    Jon:

    Interesting pose and perch. soft bg.

    The perch is perhaps a bit over powering the bird, so might try small crop on the right

    To my eye, the birds face and eye are just a bit soft.

    Randy I agree, I was disappointed the eye does look soft but if you look in PSCC it really is very sharp, the raw file is pin sharp.

    I agree it is an interesting pose. I wish the bird had a bit more catchlight in the eye, but the sharpness looks good on my laptop, I would need to view large screen to tell if it has some softness to it. Either way, it's good enough for web viewing. I like the perch personally.

    Love the pose Jon...Great work getting this close...The head does look soft here....Have a look at taking some from the RHS, I think it gives the bird a better look.

    Hi Jon a nice color palette and a overall good tonal range .
    Posing somehow looking "odd" , but I am ok with it .. making a different image . Which I quite like .

    If the raw is sharp , the web image should be even sharper ....
