I think this little guy is heading off for Mars! Perhaps not the most eloquent pose but I felt it was perhaps a little topical.

Hi Jon .... a really fun and cool shot . Love it ...and the pose is way better than previous posting , IMHO !!!!
I think the previous one was lesser eloquent ....
FP point looks on the body .... so I mighty to sharpen the head a fraction more
I think the room on top is too narrow and again not a great fan of that boxy cropping .... a new crop version discovered ???
I would go vertical keeping the mossy rock and add a ton of canvas to the top , before the Stonechat is banging his head .

Anyhow a cool image , TFS Andreas

    Jon:

I agree with Andreas about the focus on the body. The pose is fun, makes me think he is levitating. Could be played with in a number of ways. I can see a vertical as Andreas mentioned, butmy first thought when I saw him was that he was too high off the rock and needed to be moved down a bit. Lots of fun to play with it. Simple graphic elements make it easy to play with.

    Cheers

Very different, nicely done, Jonathan. I agree with Andreas's comments about the focal point and head sharpening; right now the awesome dangling feet demand more attention than the face, so whatever you can do to draw more attention there would help. I second the idea of a vertical crop; you're trying to tell a vertical story with a horizontal crop as it is now.

I am afraid this one doesn’t work for me. The bird is OOF ( the only sharp part are the feet) and doesn’t show much details. the pose is a bit awkward, it is too small in the frame and too far from the perch to make an impact. I would delete this one and go back to the drawing board but that’s just me these shots are tough
