Last week we had a lot of snow, after the roads were cleared I went out in my hometown to where I knew a large amount of Sea Buckthorn bushes were growing, and the berries were ripe. I wasn't disappointed and discovered a large flock of Fieldfare and Bullfinch feeding on the berries. I parked up close by and used my car as a hide...It worked, I had a few hours with the birds coming close to eat the berries. My biggest problem, as this wasn't a set up, was getting a 'clean' shot of the birds...Sea Buckthorn is quite dense in places, so getting a perched bird with no obstructions wasn't easy...But, I got a few. This Fieldfare was resting under the canopy of the bushes...HH..ACR.PS2021.Topaz DN.
Looks good Will! Your strategy paid off. For sure I would remove the oof dark blotches in the snow in the LRC and bottom edge to make for a cleaner finish. Sharp, nice pose from the bird, and her orange leaves along the top are a great touch.
