A different Gadwall Drake from the one posted a few weeks ago. Comparing them, I can't tell which is more mature but this one definitely has much darker plumage.

    Canon R5
    600mm
    Handheld
    ISO 1250
    1/6400
    f6.3

LR and PS, DN. Very slight bkg blending and touched a bright spot on the beak. Cropped from 8100 down to 5100 pixels and left a little room to preserve IQ.

    Such a beautiful duck!
Perfect wing position with a nice wingtip flare.
At first I thought this image needed a bit of saturation punch but the duck is indeed accurately portrayed. Perhaps select the BG and add a couple of points of vibrance?
    Another wonderful duck in flight,
    Gail

Another great duck in flight image Brian! I love the wing position and the water droplets coming off the feet are terrific! Well done.

Wowsers you are making me drool with these ducks in flight. Perhaps just a bit of very judicious use of the sponge tool on the BG is all that is needed here, but what really what is there to complain about! You couldn't have asked for a better downstroke wing position..

Daniel, well to make you drool is some feat I'd say! So I receive that compliment, thank you brother!

What's funny [ironic?] is at the very last step I noticed it needed a lift so I added a little color sat on the bkg through a Color Mixer adj layer. I toned it down to 39% opacity for fear it was too much but definitely can see it benefitting from at least double that. Great eye!

Another great waterfowl frame, this time of an under-appreciated species. Background is as strong as usual at this location, and I really like the view of the red/black/white in the near wing. Curled primaries on both wings are great.

Hi Brian, perfect! wing position and sharpness are very good. This scene has an R5 effect. Even if your technique is good. I think the rules of the game will change with SonyA1.
    congratulations

Do you mean the curled wing tips, which are difficult to get in focus unless you use a high shutter speed?
