Hi folks .... again old stuff .
This image was taken on New Island back in 2012 , this island belongs to the Falklands .
There was a large colony of this species and was visited during a cruise from the Falklands to South Georgia and back to the Falklands .
    Hope you like it

    F 5 ; Iso 1000 ; 1/3200 ..... well SS a bit overdone for these subjects

Processed with DPP 4 and PSCC 2021 , cropped slightly and added a tiny bit on the bottom and RHS to get the composition

Thanks for looking and commenting to my previous posting

    Cheers Andreas

Just beautiful environment, not to mention the subjects. Love the light, EXP and usual realistic feather detail. Also love the echoed bird behind. The third may bother some but I'm OK with it. TFS

The feet, the head plumes and that eye...

Everything but the third penguin looks good to me. I love how the foot is just slightly off the rock, and the tail hugging the back part of the perch. These guys look like such characters!

Well, that's a bad hair day if I've ever seen one lol.

As par for you, processed nicely with lots of details. The bit of neutral browns coming into the bkg gives some nice perspective.

I like the composition but find myself envisioning it with just the primary subject. It's nice to see a little of the family as well, however.

Perhaps you might consider cloning the yellow crayon stroke on the foreground rock.

    TFS Andreas!

This is really nice Andreas but I sure wish that the back of the third penguin was not there.
Is the yellow linear mark on the OOF rock a fallen head feather? I think I would evict it.
Love the BG and the complimentary colors,
    Gail

Thanks folks for your kind comments , much appreciated .

I do agree that the third Rockhopper isn't ideal , but he was there and I had to live with him for the time being .

The yellow line on the rock , I can remove it , but it does not bother me that much . It is not a feather , Gail , it is just Penguin " urine " .

    Cheers Andreas
