hi nicki!! hope you get your internet figured out soon!!! awesome image here!! love it. goes against the standard with the bird looking out of the frame like he is, but i think it is the perfect way to break that rule!!!! very well done and one of my favorites of yours!!

I agree with Harold, I think the looking out of the frame enhances what I see as a "lonely" feeling. As always, I love your puffin pictures. Hope your internet gets fixed soon; I often feel guilty about my attachment to it.

I love the puffin with a mouthful of fish, and the setting is a winner too! The framing doesn't work for me though. I'd like it better with the puffin further left in the photo. Also, I would apply a little more sharpening to the bird. I'd love to see these birds in person someday. I'll trade my internet connection for one of your puffin encounters!

I have to agree that I would prefer the puffin more traditionally placed but it is a lovely image. I would deffinately remove the yellow blob in his neck and I might be tempted to desaturate the greens a bit. Other than that, it certainly is a winner.

Hi Nicki I have to agree with having the bird more to the left in the conventional place This placement might have worked with more room around the bird.

With the beautiful bg I would have included more of it !!! Love seeing the fish and sweet look !! Would remove the fg oof flower Sure hope you sort out the connection difficulties !!!

I really like this Nicki! The mouthful of fish and the bird looking off into the distance really works for me. I think the bird is nicely placed in the frame because that one larger flower on the left balances it out. Good exposure and nice DOF (depth of field.) Good luck with the Internet trouble!!!
