Hi folks ... to make i.e. Brian Sump a bit happier , by posting something out of the US border
Here is again one from the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park in South Africa , taken during the same trip as the secretary bird .... just at a different waterhole .
I really like the feather display .... not so much the photo bombers in the BG , the Gemsbokkies . But they were there and part of the scenery .... one cannot have everything every time .
IMHO image is a tiny bit too tight , have already added canvas all around .... but did not want to add more fake pixels .
Colors are typical for the Kalahari ....
This park can be heaven or **** in terms of sightings , 2014 was quite a good year for sightings.
Temperatures were around 38 - 45 degrees centigrade .... in the car waiting maybe mid fifties . Aircon has been open windows ... LOL !! I am gonna love that place

Wow, those were warm temps! I am surprised you did not haver to contend with "heat shimmer". I love the Ostrich's pose - lots of neat textures in the feathers. The kicked-up dust is a fun element too. I can understand your stance on the photo-bombers. Too bad they were not more "separated", but they do add an element of abundant African life to the image.
