    Hi Ian, man are these guys cute!

    Good point of view as it gives perspective to their size versus the shells and grasses behind.

    f8 was a good choice, however I cannot really tell where the focus point was. The face of the left bird seems a touch sharper than that of the right so not sure even f8 was enough. Perhaps you might try more sharpening to see.

    Also, it feels a good bit dark to me. Does your histogram show underexposed or did you mess with the exp or highlights slider?

    Ian:

    Brian hit the main points. Although the brightest whites are around 200, and I would have a go at a bit more exposure, I do like the overall feel of this as is. Perspective and shells are excellent.

    A blast form the past - nice to see a post from you Ian! I agree with brightening the image more - but other than that very sweet. I love those shells!
