Looks good see lots of details in the feathers. I think you did good for afternoon sun. Like the background goes well .Tell the bird needs water has that open beak panting disheveled look but very weary look about it . Do the head feathers always stand up or when only on guard? TFS

Love the headdress on this guy! I like the head angle, details, BG and composition. Nice image Andreas.

Love the BG and cool subject. You handled the light/angle well and got just the right head turn. PP for feathers awesome. TFS

Yes, a very cool image, although the light is a bit harsh. Certainly a striking looking bird!

Kevin they do stand up for several reasons ... not always though . Even blowing winds can make them standing upwards

Looks good Andreas.....A great pose and priceless facial expression....I like the feather detail throughout with a nice BG.

Andreas, love seeing species from the globe outside of our US offerings.
Such a cool pose! It looks pretty sharp on the eye and base of the beak.
The light angle is causing it to suffer a bit from a viewer perspective (for me at least) with the shadows but you processed it pretty nicely.
I do agree that the IQ is not quite up to some of your other recents. But I like the comp!

hi Andreas,
It is a very clean and successful work for me. The naturalness in the beak and feathers is amazing.

Thanks Will , Brian and Volkan for your kind comments , much appreciated .
Brian ... tough shooting conditions in the arid area , around 40 - 45 degrees Celsius
, and many times the animals are coming in the hottest time of the day .
