Default Female Mallard Brian Sumps neighborhood

Shot this mallard last January in Denver on the Platte River Which has many opportunities for waterfowl. As we have seen with Brian Sumps beautiful images. I wished she would have had some droplets. I couldn't get any lower shot from a steep bank actually think my feet were in the water.

I like the feather patterns, sharpness, composition and the higher angle is helped by the calm water and reflection. I am glad to see someone taking an image of such an overlooked duck, especially the female. Nice image Kevin.

Hi Kevin ... nice overall color palette and sweet light . Tonal range is well presented and I do like all the details
    Comp works well ....
Interesting to see a different hue of orange/yellow in the bill and in the mirrored reflection .

Thought I recognized her Kevin ;-)

Very simple frame. Love the Broncos color palette on the water and bkg, so +2 on that!

She looks processed nicely and complimentary HA is solid.

Only benefit I could see would be if you got to f8 to catch the rump feathers and bill tip, but would take it as is too!
