Macro and Flora Moderator
I like the pose, but I have some reservation over the eye - is it in perfect focus?? I think perhaps the colour balance needs a slight tweak.

Neat pose. Jon's point about the eye is well taken. Some Eye Doctor work would surely improve it. I love the soft colors and the light. The yellowish band of crud above the far wing was very bad luck. I love the speculum too.

Sit-flap pose is fun, but the steep-downward angle didn't help you here, particularly with the dark lines running behind the bird. In getting the subject vertical, those diagonals are a big distraction.
Exposure on the bird looks good, and the layered speculum is really pretty.
