Hi all .... again an older file , taken somewhere in Africa .
Location is one of best places to see this species in the wild , at least at that time .
Saw every day around 10 animals at that place .... I was impressed .

Shot was taken in overcast conditions .... really flat light , but I thought I give the frame a little bit of a boost in terms of tone and color .

    Canon EOS 1Dx
    EF 200-400 with TC engaged ( 560 mm )
    HH

    F 5,6 ; Iso 6400 ; 1/400 sec : man exp

Processed with DPP 4 and PSCC 2021 ; added a bit of canvas to the top and LHS , still a bit tight IMHO .

Thanks for looking and commenting to my previous posting

    Cheers Andreas

Neat image Andreas, yes maybe a little tight. Neat seeing all the definition in the skin. Lots of flies. TFS

Definitely a little more on top I can live with the LHS. The hide especially on the calf looks great. Super shot Andreas!

Beautiful detail in the skin of both the calf and the female, I like the overall tone of the image Andreeas. I agree with John, a bit more on the top would improve the look of your image.

Wow Andreas -- I loved this one, what a scene.

Pretty jealous of you , so much variety you have . Loved the tones and the IQ is lovely as well.

    Very nicely done, TFS !

I am late here Andreas, but enjoying the frame tremendously. I dare ask... was this taken in 2014?

Love the pose from mom and calf. Especially calf ! Sometimes the little ones suddenly stop in their tracks and look around... and if they feel safe they suddenly become playful and run around like crazy. I have often seen moms playing with the young, and despite being so heavily built they display great agility. Play is important because they need to teach the little ones how to charge and other important behaviour aspects.

Light might have been flat but you exposed well and processed the frame really nicely, good colours and tones and lovely textures too. This works for me as presented, thank you so much for sharing

    Kind regards
