    David:

Nice landing pose, angle in frame, crop.

I have a bit of mixed feelings about the branches. I like that they give a bit of depth to the background, but because of the high key nature of the image, they do tend to pull the eye away from the bird. I would consider a frame without them, and another with the contrast reduced a bit more on the branches, to see if that is of any benefit.

    Cheers

David, looks like you handled the cards you were dealt well. A unique flight pose and great incoming angle worked well here.

Nice dof and I could go either way on the branches. Do agree a little less contrast might help the frame.

Happened to notice a little bright white spot above the opposing wing you may want to deal with.

Thanks for the always helpful comments gentlemen. Good eyes Brian. Sometimes I accidentally hit selection as mouse is sensitive and I missed undoing that one. Thanks again.

Hi David .... the pose is nice , as are the colors and tones .
Sky is as it is .... maybe something possible in the raw to recover and give some structure or tonal variation .
For the biggest issue is the missing sharpness or details in the subject .. looks either unsharp or hammered with NR , you know how the raw looks like .

Yes, the branches need to go - at least that should be easy with the plain white sky. I would also prefer a looser composition as the subject feels tight in the frame IMO. Good pose, exposure. The blue eye looks nice.
