    Love the golden side light and shadows and the environment rocks for me. The touch of snow adds interest. Also like the framing and the canvas overall. TFS

    Nice Snowy in nice beach habitat.. I would raise the LLC. Nice light and eye contact.

    Bill, a bucket-lister for most. Myself included, so cool factor is already high.

    Great shot in a pretty environment, moody feel adds. Touch of snow works great considering the species and love the far left catch light. Though the grass crosses the face just a tad unfortunately, the gaze makes it work.

    If mine, might be tempted to dodge the iris of the eyes a little for a little pop.

    This is a really nice one. And FWIW, I was studying the Audobon awards from the past few years and I actually think a frame like this might have a shot at a finalist.

    Super shot of the owl , well detailed a pleasing pose and I really like the surroundings and composition, a really fine shot, well done.

    Very appealing habitat image. I am glad to see a catchlight on the eye - it gives the owl some life. Perfect composition.
