Hi folks oldie but Goldie ... IMHO .
Almost ran over this little critter on one of Etosha´s roads ..... saw him in the last moment and stopped the vehicle .
Jumped out of the car .... oh oh oh .... down into the dust and fired few frames -
Image taken in brutal mid day light ....

    Canon EOS 1D MK III
    EF 300 IS L , 4,0
    HH

    F 8 ; Iso 250 ; 1/640 sec

Processed with DPP 4 and PSCC 2021 ; cropped to panorama ; was 50/50 on the dead space . More above or below the subject ...??? Still not sure . So please tell me your thoughts .

Thanks for looking and commenting to my previous posting

    Cheers Andreas

I like it Andreeas, despite the harsh light the chameleon just pops out so nicely. I like the way he seems to mind his own bussines. Not entirely sure about up or down, but right now I'd say a bit more room at the top would be better.

These little reptiles are incredibly difficult to photograph successfully. Do you try to get as much DOF as possible or do you try to get the minimum and get the head in focus. I don't know sometimes one sometimes the other, in any event I think this works well and I like the crop as shown

Superb image , loved the trailing DOF and the subject is popping out nicely against the muted colours.

    Loved the IQ and framing.

    TFS !
