Perfect set up looks so natural and as for the bird fantastic, details nice and sharp. Nothing to pick apart here. Great image your best for sure with the woody's. Nice touch in the bill. TFS

    Jon:

Great head angle, like the talon grip and tail prop, classic woodpecker.

To my eye there is a green/yellow cast to the image.

    Handsome bird!

    Cheers

Love the framing with meandering perch and well framed subject. Pose, BG and details also excellent. TFS

Hi Jon .... i am enjoying your peckers .
Nice perch and the pose is fitting well , maybe a bit tight ??? But no deal breaker .
I do like the overall tone and color palette of your OP ... I can see where Randy is coming from with his thoughts .
I might give it a try .... but not as drastic as he did with his RP , a bit more gently please and not across the whole tonal range . Just my take ...

    Keep them coming TFS Andreas

Jon, man I gotta say can't really see any loss with the 2x here.

For me, one of the better frame from you in terms of depth of tones and colors and the intimacy is fantastic. Love how the perch frames the subject and I like the slight re-crop in the RP as well as what appears a touch of magenta.

Regardless, you made some great edits here. I could see a touch off the top to bring the subject's eye back up into the upper third.

    Well done!

Beautiful image Jon! I like the pose, perch, BG, details and kickstand tail. Repost looks a lot better.
