Hi folks ... hope you gonna love this fluffy feather ball , as I do .
Image taken at local town lake .... my " testing area " for new toys . Well it was , meanwhile too crowded by city folks , has become a recreation area .

    Canon EOS 1Dx
    EF 500 IS L II + 1,4 TC
    Tripod

    F 8 ; Iso 2500 ; 1/1000 sec ; man exp and auto iso

Processed with DPP 4 and PSCC 2021 ; cropped for comp slightly . Processing routine with some channel blending ... just for the fun .

Thanks for looking and commenting to my previous posting

    Cheers Andreas

How cute of a subject is this! The upwards glance and bead of water hanging from the chin are both neat elements. Coloured stripes in the water above add a lot too. I'm seeing a cyan cast to the image though?

A lovely shot Andreas I see you coaxed good detail from the downy coat. Just curious how the detail would be without the additional blending - does it make a big difference to the image. I am wondering how the image would have looked with some judicious Texture/Clarity/Dehaze as an alternative??

Always love your PP with soft downy feathers and this is no exception. The framing and details along with cute factor take this over the top for me. TFS

    Thanks Jon ...
Coming back to your question about texture/clarity /dehaze .... apart from dehaze , which I do use on a regular basis at values of 5-10 , i am not using texture , clarity at all . I do not see any benefit of these tools ... specially that texture thing !!!!

Channel blending is different and a very delicate way of image manipulation .... IMHO , I rather prefer that way . We all work differently ....
