Johnathan nice image details look good and sharp. I can't really put a pin on it just needs a little more vibrant or saturation. Maybe the brightness of the background is taking away from the Tit. Not a big fan of the horizontal branch, maybe better on a slight angle twenty or thirty degrees. Seed pods are a nice touch as is the background colors. TFS

Hi Jon...got to agree with Kevin here, the bird should stand out more from the beautiful green BG...Maybe needs a little more sharpening on the head and chest areas and/or desat the BG a wee bit. Lovely looking birds, bet you were more than happy when he/she arrived at your garden...I don't see your deliberate mistake, did you add to the perch, below the bird? If you did, looks good to me, but I can't think of anything else you may have done

I like the angled pose and composition. I agree with the suggestions above. These guys look like they could be like our Chickadee's meaning they are quick and hard to get. Nice image Jon.

He looks like a baseball! Super round! Exposure and details on the bird and perch are really nice. I don't mind the horizontal branch at all. The forehead might be getting a bit hot, but I had the exact same challenge
shooting light-headed birds on a cloudy day last week. The subject does lack a bit of pop, but I think that's because the lighter BG is better and more evenly lit. Not sure how to manage that other than shooting in
better light! I might also clone what looks like tiny bit of primaries from the left wing.

Sharp where it needs to be and love the pose with long tail off to the side. I also like the perch. No idea on mistake? Maybe something to do with crop. TFS

Jon, first off I LOVE the bkg. Really nice.

And, I think the eye, beak and face are great. But I, too noticed a perceived lack of sharpness esp around the chest, but maybe that's just where the feathers lay differently or something. Hard to imagine you sharpening differently there.

AFA the branch, I see what others are saying and the only way I can interpret what I feel is maybe to loosen or shift the crop enough that you get a little bit more bkg showing below. That would create some balance I believe.

Regarding the seeds on the branch, very good job on not settling for an old dead stick. You get kudos on that!

Mistake? Hmmm.. something to do with the little black wing sticking out maybe?

Thanks very much everyone, much appreciated. The bird looked pretty dull in the light given, I have saturated quite considerably but I can see that one would expect it to look more colourful than portrayed.
The mistake is the perch, it is hazel and it is upside down - look at the catkins, they should be hanging down - not defying gravity!

Hi Jon ... lovely little bird .
I am ok with the image as presented , maybe slightly more sharpness ??!!!
The color contrast really make him jumping off the screen ... works well for me . Perch is what it is ....

Stunning what you all have in your garden !!!

    TFS Andreas
