    Joe:

I like the landing pose, dangling legs/feet. I could see a version with a very small crop from the right. I tried a version with .25 of a stop more exposure, played up the high key theme and brightened the bird a bit. Just personal taste.

How are you liking the 500 PF?

    Cheers

Hi Randy, thank you for viewing and commenting. I'll give your suggestions a try. I am liking the 500 PF, light really sharp, nice contrast. It takes a little getting used to using a prime rather than a zoom lens, but I am getting the knack of it. Also it takes the 1.4 teleconverter much better than the 80-400. Thanks again...

Not much not to like Joe those pinks pop. I was thinking High Key also because not much in the background in the way of color in the water. Nice detail all the way down the legs.TFS

Very nice landing pose, and I like the details throughout. Randy's suggestions are worth exploring, but you have something real good to start with here. Gotta love those pinks!

I like this one better than your previous posting...the bird looks sharper...Great pose and again the pinks look splendid against the grey BG...Lovely birds..never seen one before, but I would love to photograph them. Well done Joe.

Man, that pink really pops! Such a beautiful bird. Pose is fantastic. Dangling legs are even better than your previous, particularly with the flexed thigh. Super engaging with the bill out front and clear of the wing. I could see a tighter crop
to really dial us down on the subject, but it's hardly necessary given how well it separates from the surrounding gray.

Another great pose with the pinks popping more. I really love the framing and negative space on this canvas. TFS

Joe, first off the difference in IQ and detail on this one vs the last is stark. Here, far better in that regard.

A very unique and attractive wing position get it going nicely from there and the color saturation brings it home. Maybe you could play with a very opaque black brush and see what a touch of vignetting or gradient might do on the open space, just for a little creative liberty and to draw focus in?

    A great canvas here, TFS!

Thanks everyone for viewing and commenting, much appreciated.

The comments mentioning a difference from my previous post of a Roseate Spoonbill were spot on, the difference is using Topaz Denoise AI and Topaz Sharpening AI both are available on Artie's blog at a discount.
