I made this image in Sandy UT at sunset a couple of weeks back.
I got this POV by placing the Camera and Lens Combo in the rocks so that the lens is inches above the water.

    Camera Settings:-

    Nikon D850 600 f/4 + 1.4 x TC III
    Info 1/2500s f/6.3 ISO1250
    Manual; Matrix metering

    Post Processing:-
    ===============
    Raw Processing using C1P 20
    Slight Crop
    Neat Image NR
    Sharpening for Presentation
    Dodge selectively
    No Cloning.

Just awesome intimate view and colors. Perhaps there is more detail on beak to be had. Very minor nit; since one is completely in frame, wish other was too. Love this canvas overall as is though. TFS

Plumage well shown and detailed, I agree if you go back to raw and adjust the bill possibly try luminosity then more detail will be revealed. Low angle is good , it does not really look like much of a fight - there are no water droplets or splashes no ruffled feathers, on the flip side it is well focused and detailed. I am guessing the lens and TC precluded a wider view which I feel would have been beneficial.

Great low angle, bite, and light. My favorite part of the image is the eye of the bird getting its butt kicked. The backs of the birds look quit noisy ...

    Hi Krishna ,
love the colors , the low POV , the tons of detail and the " action " as a bonus .

AS presented it is not ideal from the framing POV , IMHO . I would have liked to see a wider view .... so as a consequence I might crop tighter for more impact .

    TFS Andreas
