Another Robin from my set up......The sun had went behind a white cloud, so the back light was even poorer, after being filtered by the trees...I was still getting some reflective light from the snow on the ground....To keep the exposure slightly to the right I lowered my SS, I know at 1/400 I was taking a chance but I think the tripod helped. About a 50% crop. ACR and PS2021

What a fine and proud Robin he is Will, be nice if was calling with such a pose like that. Colours look great, just watch your sharpening, just a fraction based on the brown wing plumage.

Outstanding pose you were given William. All the colors work beautifully together, under a nice soft light.

Getting some great mileage from this one Will. Another excellent capture and a fun, if not unique pose along with the orange pop on the otherwise more drab/neutrals is sweet!

Hi Will ... super lovely bobbin Robin !!!
The perch seem to work ....
Overall the image does look very good in terms of IQ , with good tonal range and some very nice color across the range .
Personally i might work a tiny bit on the color grading , as i think it is a bit on the cool side ...

I like to echo Steve´s thoughts about the sharpening , starting to look a bit too crispy .... but that is somehow very picky . Just try to take into account ....
But i am surprised to read it here in this thread , as i personally think it does look stronger in the previous posting .... just my take .

Gorgeous frame , well done Will

Beautiful image there Will! Even the boxy crop works, which is not something I usually like. As someone who often photographs birds at lower than 1/400s. I can say you were fine with proper technique and equipment.
