    I captured this image of a Red-shouldered Hawk at Circle B Bar Reserve in Polk County, Florida. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

    Nikon D500
    Nikon 80-400mm F/4.5-5.6 VRII AF-S ED HH
    1/2000 F/5.6 Matrix Metering EV +1 ISO 900 Auto 1 WB, image captured at 400mm (600mm 35mm equivalent)
    Post processed in Lightroom Classic, Photoshop CC 2021 and Neat Image for noise reduction when needed
    Cropped for composition and presentation

    I am not loving this one Joe.
    The awkward wing position and the head looking away really hurt the image.
    It does not look sharp to my eyes.

    Hi Gail, thank you for viewing and commenting. I hear you, I wasn't sure about this one, posted it to see what the comments would be. I think motion blur, I don't think 1/2000 was fast enough. Thanks again....

    Agree with everything above. The head turn is a bummer. Seeing the work of Arash and Brian Sump here, and Geoff Newhouse -- featured on the blog recently, the best flight shooters go for crazy high shutter speeds of from 1/4000 to 1/6400 second.
