    Default Female Shoveller From Bosque

    This was taken last fall while phtographing in Bosque. There were several shovellers in one area but seldom close enough to photograph. This little female ventured a little closer one day and I captured this image.

    I like the relaxed pose and eye contact. Maybe a bit more sharpening of the bird and it could go a tad brighter for my taste.

    The angle of the bill helps highlight the shovel shape. Sharpness is good. I do see a funny looking border around the bird that is visible in the water adjacent to the bird.

    Axel I am travelling and just took another look at this image and it does look a touch dark. I edited it last night and t either the lighting was not good or my eyes. < smile > Anyway thanks for your comments.
