There are many varieties of juncos and in my yard i have a variety! As a ground feeder they are less likely to perch so i quickly grabbed this frame when the HA presented itself favorably. I also liked the quick stance.

DPP conversion, some LR, to PS, and this time with help I figure out which box was not checked and now have the color profile embedded. I think once PS upgraded my setting did not follow.

I like it a lot. The perch is wonderful as is the head angle. The only thing that bugs me is the big white circle upper left.

    with love, a

Love every inch of this canvas. The perch (shape in frame and lichens), the pose and the framing overall all sweet perfection. TFS

Ann, I think you did well processing this one in terms of color and contrast.

As with a couple of others recently, the wonky branches coming out on the perches make composition a little tough - namely the far right stub in this one. When focusing from the main vertical stem to the left, it is very nice and if there were a way to isolate that and remove the right stub I think it would really be nice.

Also, it seems to have lost a decent bit of detail around the head/eye. Not sure if it's a focus point issue or just very small in frame... or just my eyes.

Anyhow, keep them coming. Really liking your perched birds this winter :-)

i agree w you and everything you noted, that branch is beautiful but I tend to use more canvas to include the right side. I was not happy w loss of head detail AF points were smack in but the jpeg did not do justice. Small bird as well etc...
mill keep at it, been Lovin your flight shots
i have not used this rig for flight yet... looking forward to that learning curve

So kind Ann, thank you. I know you'll ace it once you stretch it's BIF legs and start getting used to it!
