Razor sharp with perfect exposure and amazing feather detail, Willam. The mossy/lichen perch is super sweet, and I think the composition is perfect. I love the sharp feet!
I know it's winter, but the frame does feel very cool to me. I might warm it up and give it a bit of color saturation.
Overall a very nice canvas!

AAAAAA dorable! beautiful, i like the warmth and the perch, lovely details Will against the steely gray BG, the bird just pops. Well done

Beautiful bird on a lovely perch. The repost looks better with the slightly added warmth. HA, FFD and overall composition are great. My only nitpic is the thick darker band going from the wing diagonally up, and the thinner one to the right of the bird, which are grabbing my eye.

Hi Will, cracking little Blue Tit, with nice detail, and good angle. Blue on the crown is looking good and nice to see grey legs, not blue. Based on your description of the location, have you lightened the overall image Will, as the light seems very even??? Creating some exposure depth in the BKG I feel would add a nice touch. Going warmer your call, I think the light would have been more cooler going towards the grey/blues, but just my take... Would love to get back up to Rothiemurchus

Hi Will .... simply gorgeous !!!!
Very well done , on all counts
RP for me in terms of color , maybe a tad less exposure or a very slight ( selective ) mid tone boost .... to create little more tonal depth .

Will, really like the og but the RP definitely steps it up.
Great shot angle, nice bkg and a really great perch (with that mossy bush especially) all make this one a winner.

Thanks guys....
Hi Steve...I never lightened the image, I think the light effect may come from the bird being backlit but heavily filtered, and the reflection of light from the snow on the ground.....I managed quite a few that morning, different birds on the same perch and light...all gave the same light conditions...May try pushing the ISO even further, next time, I missed quite a few with the slower SS.

Again thanks Will for the additional info, it was just a hunch/thought.
I think from what you say, you realise that pushing the ISO is the only way to go now to capture your subjects. Messing around with low SS/ISO you are not going to have keepers, only blurs, or vacant purchases. You have the kit, you know what you need to do. Not sure why you are hesitant or have a reluctance, but seriously you have nothing to loose other than your time and the space on a CF card.
Will lookout for some postings as and when Lockdown is lifted and things begin to get back to some sort of normal and if you need help we are all here to help and get you on the right road in processing higher ISO files, it’s not rocket science.
