    Default Peregrine and the Pigeon

By now I am sure that you all saw Jody's fantastic image of the Peregrine with the pigeon.
Jody and I often shoot together and it is usually good for some fun and laughs:)
This morning was super special as we had the unbelievable luck to be in the right place when this Peregrine slammed the pigeon. I have to thank Jody as he yelled "DAVE LOOK" and I turned just in time to get my camera on the action.

This frame was probably about a second before Jodys image as the pigeon still had it's head up.

Great capture of this moment, David! I might sharpen the birds a bit more. Did the peregrine grab the pigeon's bill with his beak? Thanks for sharing!

    Another winner!
As said above, very graphic. To me is sharp enough. But tastes are tastes, great job.

Terrific series of peregrines David, I have a lot of envy of your images and the ones by Jody.

wow, David, these images are breath-taking. You and Jody did amazing work. They are tough images to look at, at least for me, because they portray the death of this pigeon so graphically and dramatically. Whew...tough being a pigeon in a peregrine's world! But, that being said, I think you have captured absolutely superb behavior images. Where were these taken?
