Default Grounded Bohemian Waxwing + Happy New Year!

The crabapples were so full of waxwings that many of the huge flock simply gathered below the trees to pick up the dropped prizes. So fun to belly-crawl among them!
Wishing everyone in the BPN family a blessed and productive 2021!

    Great bird and lovely IQ.
A bit tight on the left side for me.
The bird seems like it has a thin film over it? Perhaps a bit more contrast?
Maybe it is just my old eyes...

Daniel, envy meter is rising as you post these. Love to have some Bohemian's in my files.

Nice setting, although maybe not quite as desirable as your recent perched frames. Food-in-mouth and the berry underneath def add interest. Colors pop nicely on the subject.

Do feel creating a bit more room left could help. Might also be tempted to saturate the grass/ground just a smidge.

    TFS amigo!

Lovely look at this beautiful bird. Berry and pose keep the attention of the ground, and the clean BG looks great. Frame does feel a bit blue/cool to me, and I agree with Brian about more room at left if you have it. Details and exposure look good across the bird.

Hi Daniel ... a happy new year to you too .
Cool unusual shot of this species , I think . The food in the beak is a nice addition
Looks overall a little lower in IQ than your usual posts , IMHO . Might be down to the low SS ??
Colors and tones looking good to me .

Hi Dan, love the colours and it conveys nicely a cool, crisp morning, berry in the beak is the 'icing'. Not sure being a fraction higher would have helped, but a sliver more on the LHS would be helpful IMHO. Well worth the crawl.
