Gadwall drake captured on the river a couple weeks ago. Some fun oranges poking through the bkg.

Would've loved to grab it 45 min earlier to reduce the opposing wing shadow but glad to get it none the less. The funny looking head feathers are just a lighter patch exposed against the sun.

LR and PS, DN. Added a sliver canvas and dodged/smoothed a couple bkg spots. Smoothed a light patch left of the eye.

Nice to see the bill slightly open on this one. Great downstroke pose. I don't mind the wing shadow at all. Lovely background.

You really have a sweet duck spot to get them in parallel flight like this! PMP for me as well - I could just see a version with a bit more overall warmth and/or saturation, but that often comes down to personal preference.

Hi Brian, another excellent flight shot from one of your many subjects. I like the angled flight pose, tack sharp, and the colours of the BG compliment to duck nicely. I do like the trailing droplets from the feet.

A beauty of a flight shot. Checks all the boxes. I love the feather patterns of the Gadwalls, and this shows that very handsomely.

A very fine flight capture, Brian. Including the nice forward wing stroke, I like the open/calling beak and the trailing drops of water.

The Flying Duckman outdoes himself. The feather definition is insane. I even like the drops falling off its butt. If it were mine, I'd lose the dark area on the frame-edge below the first three primaries. Then I would print it and hang it. I like that Dan borrow one of my original TLAs: PMP :)

I agree. And ditto all of the superlatives above.

    What shadow?
