    John, very nice bif shot across the surface!

    Like the warm light and wings down position. Composition is great from here. Wonder if bumping exp 1/3 stop could help lighten some of the darks just a touch?

    Curious do you sharpen the whole image or just subject? If you happened to sharpen the ripples on the water it might be best to leave that down, but maybe it's just the nature of this image.

    Hi John a cool shot with vice wing position and very nice warm light .
    Framing spot on , think just the darks/blacks are a tiny bit too dense ... might be just up to my personal prefs .

    Thanks folks. I sharpened the bird slightly. The water is pretty choppy here. I do not see a cast.
