That's one good looking Boat-tailed Grackle, and beautifully captured, David. Love the pastels in the exceptional early morning light. What a perfect background complimenting her so nicely. Like the perch as well.

Good call on the vertical comp, and I love the bird's and surrounding's colours. A one degree more head turn towards us would have been excellent. If mine, I'd also likely remove the stem that goes from foot to belly. Nice and sharp!

Sharp with a good exposure. I like the vertical framing. The perch is pretty neat as well.

Hi David, easier said than done, but I might be tempted to go a tad warmer on the Temp, a hint more on the Tint and reduce the Blue, plus Dan's removal. Sharpening is a tad to much on this RP version, but you have a nice capture overall.

Hi David, like Brian I think you two have come so far this year. If the issue of ‘colour’ wasn’t such an issue I feel you would have nailed it. With the R6 you have more scope on pushing things, or not subject to the situation, with the R5 ok you can crop, but you may need to push the ISO... either way I’m raising a festive glass to both you and Brian, but holding no prisoners next year, time to get tough.

All the very best and stay safe, it’s only going to get tougher, but hopefully we can all get through this and get back to enjoying photography in whatever shape or form that takes.

Nice image David. I like the sharpness, tight composition and Steve's repost looks good.
