Image design perfect. The colors look too dense to me, and the head looks as if it might have been over-lightened. For the repost I pulled up the curve, did some eye doctor work, and sharpened the head a bit. The head still looks funky to me.

I like the image design as well, but I do think the OP is too contrasty. The raised back feathers, folded wing, and splayed tail make for some fun geometrics.
