Water and pose are nice, I would eliminate a bunch of the grass reflection in ULC.

David, the positives for me are fantastic lighting, cool reflection and a gorgeous painted look to the wake.

The reflections don't kill the image, mainly because the head and body are spared but certainly causes a little bit of distraction in UL.

Maybe a bit of lasso tool with content aware fill on the lower half of the shadows could work?

Killer cool water overall, bummer about all the vegetation above...but the subject and its reflection look awesome. Sharp, great light and colours. There is an area of smoother water in front of the reflected face - any processing done there to remove anything?

Hi Daniel, The water was clear and no processing. Only removed a couple very small pieces of debris with a 9 pixel wide healing brush. Just part of the natural reflection. Thanks as always for your inputs.

Super image David I like as presented but I did download and produce a few variations using curves /masks / vignette on the subject and background, I feel the image could be modified to effectively make the heron a little bolder but I suspect your version reflects reality.

The reflection and the painterly water make this one. Nice pose as well.

I like the water texture, reflection and deep creek fisherman behavior. I would clone out the purplish grass tip above the back and line in the ULC too. Well done David.
