Default Cape Cormorant in full flight.

These are pretty fast flyers especially when they fly with the wind which they normally do. This was captured over Boulders Beach, Cape Town - a penguin colony, and the wind always blows there. I managed to capture a good wing position against a sky BG. Taken late afternoon.

    Stu:

Now that is a full up wing position ! Nice eye, good to have subtle clouds. I might bump the contrast just a bit to help make the clouds pop a bit more.

    Cheers

Stu, the composition looks great! Wings fully up works well for sure.

Randy's comment on contrast in the bkg is noted and agreed. Is there maybe a touch of motion blur at the top of the beak?

Feather detail looks fab and love being able to see the marbled effect in the eye too. Nicely processed!

Now that is a wing up pose. Nice detail on the bird. The blue background contrats with the bird nicely.
