Hey Kurt, this looks like an angry Flycatcher. The image looks really nice. The only question that came to mind was the kind of blue-green color of the leaves but I do not know the plant so the color may be correct. Thank you for sharing.

The bird looks great. Love the red "horns"!
It is also wonderful to see the feet nestled between the thorns.
Great BG and I like the perch.
    IQ of bird looks great.
I have to echo Joe's sentiments about the color of the leaves. I don't know the plant so perhaps the color is accurate.

Somehow, that stare just goes with this fiery beauty. The details are wonderful and the sharpening is sooo spot on. Love the colors but also the tones in this one. TFS

    ps
    BG and framing also sweet...

I like the direct stare, curved perch, IQ, composition and red in the head. Beautiful image Kurt!

Nice stair and I like the plant color and am pretty sure it is accurate.
I would evict the plant on the right nest to the bird and the one on the left that exits the frame.

Kurt, really captivating. You did really well at 1/200 and ISO 3200!

The orange pops wonderfully on the neutral bkg and I love the sort of firey appearance on the head feathers.

Stare is killer as is the perch. All round excellent job!

Hi Kurt, grumpy face with great eye contact. Love the colours on this fellow.

I love the flaming head! Great "down-the-barrel" look too. Digging the thorns on the perch as well. Pretty strong frame!

The color on the bird is great. Nice direct stare as well. Neat perch to. Nice and sharp.

Terrific capture, Kurt. Great direct stare at you, and the detail on this beautiful flycatcher. Like the thorny perch, and very nice graduated background.
